Innovation - KLM

This was one of the first projects for promotional packaging that CM Packaging realised for KLM.  KLM wanted to initiate a promotional campaign to increase the number of business and first-class travellers. After multiple meetings the choice was made for a triangular tin filled with “Wilhelmina” mints that could be opened and closed with a neat click-system. Six different designs were chosen to be printed on the tins so that a “family” was created. CM Packaging took care of the complete package for KLM  - the production of the tins in the Netherlands on a specific production line and made sure the tins were filled and delivered. After the introduction of the tins, it turned out to be a great success because of the fact that travellers wanted to collect a whole set of  tins. Therefore this one-time promotional campaign became a multi-year promotion for which dozens of different designs were made and even after the end of the campaign, customer demand persisted as a result of travellers wanting to complete their collections.
